CURATO DON WOJTYLA A NIEGOWIC è un film diretto e prodotto da msgr. Jarek Cielecki, fondatore del Vatican News Service e regista di documentari come LIBANO TERRA DI SANTI, opera dedicata ai Santi libanesi.
Msgr. Cielecki è anche giornalista ed in passato ha lavorato a stretto contatto con Giovanni Paolo Il, durante l'instancabile peregrinare del Papa in ogni angolo del mondo.
CURATO DON WOJTYLA A NIEGOWICI prende spunto dall'omonimo libro di Jarek Cielecki (letto e approvato da Papa Wojtyla) ed è stato girato interamente in Polonia tra Wadowice, Pierzpchow, Ggdow, Kaly e Niegowic, paesini tanto amati dal Papa dove ha vissuto una vita umile e semplice.
Tra gli attori che hanno preso parte alle riprese troviamo Eleonora Mardosz, una donna di ottantasette anni che lavorò per il Papa come domestica a Niegowic, paesino dove Giovanni Paolo II fu nominato viceparroco nel 1948.
Alcuni oggetti di scena sono appartenuti realmente al Papa, come la stola e la tunica che il protagonista Karol Dudek indossa durante la scena del matrimonio girato proprio nella chiesa di legno di Metkow dove il Papa celebrò le sue messe nel 1948.
La storia è incentrata sul viaggio di Leucadia
(Eleonora Mardosz) che da Cracovia attraverserà in pullman la campagna polacca fino a Niegowic. Grazie ai ricordi della donna ripercorreremo le tappe fondamentali della vita di papa Giovanni Paolo II nel 1948, conosceremo meglio l'uomo che a breve sarà nominato santo, il suo pensiero e degli aneddoti inediti sulla sua vita quotidiana.
La colonna sonora è composta da musiche originali di Giulio del Prato.

CURATO DON WOJTYLA A NIEGOWIC is a film directed and produced by Msgr. Jarek Cielecki, founder of the Vatican News Service and director of documentaries like LEBANON LAND OF SAINTS, a work dedicated to the saints of Lebanon.
Msgr. Cielecki is also a journalist and has previously worked closely with Giovanni Paolo II, during his tireless visits of the Pope in every corner of the world.
CURATO DON WOJTYLA A NIEGOWIC
is inspired by the self-titled book of Jarek Cielecki (read and approved by Pope Giovanni Paolo II) and was shot entirely in Poland between Wadowice, Pierzpchow, Ggdow, Kaly and Niegowic, villages beloved by the Pope where he lived a life humble and simple.
Among the actors who took part in the filming are Mardosz Eleonora, a woman eighty-seven years that worked as a maid for the Pope in Niegowic, a small town where Giovanni Paolo II was appointed assistant pastor in 1948.
Some props are really belonged to the Pope, as the stole and tunic that the protagonist Karol Dudek wears during the wedding scene filmed in the wooden church of Metkow where the Pope celebrated his Masses in 1948.
The story centers on the journey of Leucadia (Eleonora Mardosz) that cross by bus from Krakow to the Polish countryside Niegowici. Thanks to the memories of the woman retrace the milestones of the life of Pope Giovanni Paolo II in 1948, we will know better the man who will soon be appointed the saint, his thought and unpublished anecdotes about his daily life.
The soundtrack is composed original music by Giulio del Prato.
